In the article, Jason opens up about resurrecting his career and his past as a wild child.
On stopping his drug use:
“Booze was what would make me want to stay out all night and do some blow or smoke a joint or whatever, so shutting that off was key. It’s like ketchup and French fries – I don’t want one without the other. So that’s the moment: Do you want to continue to be great at being in your twenties, or do you want to step up and graduate into adulthood?”
On his partying ways:
“It was like Risky Business for 10 years. My parents were out of town, they left me a bunch of money, the car, and the house, and I didn’t know when they were coming home. I’d worked so hard that by the time I was 20, I wanted to play hard. And I did that really well.”
Maniston on Bateman:
“Even though he was pretty wild in those days, something about those dimples and that sweet face made you go, ‘Oh, it’s okay that you just drove up the street backwards in a Range Rover with the door wide open.’ I don’t know what was happening there. You feel instantly safe in his company.”
Jonathan Drunk Meyers
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (31) recently split up with his girlfriend after his mother’s death, then she kicked him out of her apartment in Camden. Now there are reports that Jonathan may become roommates with Pete Doherty, and the pair are looking for a place in East London.
A source said, "Although Jonathan spends a lot of time filming in Los Angeles these days he still needs somewhere to stay while working in London. So when a mutual friend suggested he and Pete could get a flat together, Jonathan jumped at the chance."
Now that Jonathan is drinking again I guess it won’t matter if he shacks up with an addict like Pete. They’ll need to buy a refrigerator though to store all the beer for their cereal.
Jonathan was arrested by French police on Saturday afternoon after he allegedly assaulted an airport lounge employee while drunk. After getting drunk, Meyers allegedly punched a bar employee at the Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris.
The bartender at the café area Le Quotidien in the departure area of the airport at terminal 2F, refused to serve Meyers anymore alcohol. Meyers and the bar manager then began shouting at each other. When a waiter tried to separate the fighting men, Meyers allegedly punched the waiter.
Meyers spent 3 hours in a drunk tank part of the jail to sober-up before being released.
The AFP reports that Rhys Meyers has been told to appear before the Correctional Tribunal in Bobigny in September to answer charges concerning, "voluntary violence, contempt, issuing death threats and assault."
In November of 2007 Meyers was arrested at Dublin airport for public intoxication, and he attended rehab that same year.
Meyers will likely be heading back to rehab again.
Gay Jonas Borther
One of the Jonas Brothers is rumored to be involved with an older man from their hometown of Wyckoff, New Jersey. He's apparently defying his parents by threatening to come out. The rumor started when a member of GenQ, who was on tour with the brothers, found out and blurted it online.
The Jonas Brothers have been playing on their wholesome image as committed Evangelical Christians and fear they may loose their audience and their lucrative contract with Disney when the truth comes out.
All over the net people are pointing fingers at Kevin and possibly Nick. I'm looking more towards Joe. The current engagement to Miley Cirus is the tried and true Hollywood way of throwing off the hounds and "saving a career".
Wicked Hangover
It seems Lindsay Lohan may be kicking herself after turning down a role in the season’s hottest comedy “The Hangover.” According to a report, she declined the role of stripper Jade (which ended up going to Heather Graham) even though she is desperate for a career comeback.
Lindsay and “Hangover” director Todd Phillips share the same agent, who tried to get her to take the gig. “The agent tried hard to get Phillips to consider her, and when he finally agreed, Lindsay said she didn’t like the script!”
The movie has been a smash hit at the box office, pulling in over $265 million worldwide.
